Sometimes we are hesitant to pursue our dreams but what we do not know is that we only need to take the first step in order to proceed. There are people who really knew where they are good at and on what certain field they would succeed. Isn’t it nice to find someone who will inspire us to do certain things?
Once we see others succeed, this will also no doubt encourage us to do better. Just like Melissa Bolona who isn’t just into modeling and acting and also finds time to pay it forward through philanthropic work.
No stranger to the big screen, Melissa Bolona is due to appear in several movies in coming months, including the thriller, “Dog Eat Dog,” starring Nicholas Cage.
This movie is based on a novel with the same premise and name and stars William Dafoe alongside Nicholas Cage. The film is pulpy and dramatic, following the story of three crooks who are hired to kidnap a baby. It doesn’t help that the mob boss who hired them is beyond eccentric, and soon the threesome also has the police and the mob breathing down their necks.
The film hit the big screen on November 4th, receiving mixed reviews. While the actors’ performances seem to be appreciated, viewers seem to want a bit less gore and a little more substance. Reviewers on rotten tomatoes call the film saturated with “campy gore” and generally appear to be less than appreciative of the movie’s brusque and direct approach to the violence. The movie is similar to classics such as Pulp Fiction, though it appears that the story line was left lacking.
Melissa Bolona plays Lina in this film. Although just a minor role, she certainly plays her part well. The actress was born on the East Coast and has a mixed heritage including Peruvian, Ukrainian, and Cuban roots.
Already known for her philanthropic work and modeling career, Bolona always knew she had to act. Having received her degree in business at the American University in Paris, France, and after establishing herself as a philanthropist, Bolona returned to her pursuit of acting. Melissa Bolona currently resides in Los Angeles and is due to play major roles in several upcoming thrillers in 2017.
