Raising a child is an immense but highly rewarding job. Parenthood comes with its share of ups and downs, and the challenges can seem never-ending; however, the beautiful thing is you get to be an example for your kids and teach them how to live the best life possible. While this isn’t easy by any means, it can be incredibly gratifying to see your kids grow up into adults of their own. Below are a few ways that you can be the best example for your kids.

Take Time Out

While taking time out might sound counterintuitive to being there for your kids, the truth is that if you look after yourself, you’ll be a better parent. By showing your kids that you also need a break and showing how you take the time to do so, it sets an example for them when they’re older.

Even if it’s just twenty minutes sitting quietly, reading a book, or surfing the internet and checking out best bingo sites 5 pound deposit, these small breaks can give back much-needed energy.

Resolve Conflict Calmly

Kids learn by example, and nowhere is this more apparent than how you resolve conflict with your partner, with your other kids, and with other people. If you can demonstrate a calm way of dealing with arguments or spats, your kids will take that on board and into their adult lives. You can’t be perfect all the time, but as much as possible, try to show your kids how to deal with conflict calmly and constructively.

Pamper Yourself

Pampering yourself is another form of looking after you. If your kids see that you love who you are and take active steps to look after your physical, mental, and emotional needs, then they will also grow up that way, too. Take time to tend to what you want whenever you can, even though this can be difficult with the hectic schedule that comes with kids. The more you love yourself, the more your kids will learn this behavior, which can help with their self-esteem.

Project Positivity

Nobody likes to hear or see negativity, so try where possible to project positivity for your kids. This requires restraint if you feel inclined to say negative things about people or a situation; however, it will only serve to benefit your kids’ outlook on life. By teaching them how to look at the world positively and peacefully, it will enable them to also live life without focusing too much on the negatives.

Draw Boundaries

Drawing boundaries with your kids is one of the most important things you do for them and yourself. By demonstrating what is acceptable and what isn’t — and by putting limitations on their behavior — they will learn to be more respectful and responsible. Boundaries dictate what is right and what isn’t, and it teaches them respect for the rules. This will also show them how to apply this to their own lives as they get older.

  1. Thank for sharing these mommy mahirap talaga mag palaki bg bata ngayon lalo pa at nasa mundo na tayo ng technology.

  2. It is indeed a rewarding moment when you raised your children well. But not every parents can do this. Not even me sad to say. I know I have shortcomings, financially and emotionally. Being a solo parent is not an easy task either. Being a mom and dad in one for almost 10 years made my life in critical but keeps me in sane because my children kept me alive and got helped from my siblings and relatives too ☺️

Thanks for sharing this mommy πŸ‘β€οΈ
